Actually, perhaps you’re not completely mad. Nor alone. I was excited about finding a large Tesco’s in Bratislava, and as I was renting an apartment – overlooking the cathedral – with a proper working kitchen I raced off there…only to realise that I had absolutely no idea what I was buying. Apart from veg. Everything was in at least three languages, and none of them English. I think I made an omelette!
